We are delighted to announce that BeFC has been awarded 1st place in the "MIT GSW Sustainable Society Startup Challenge".

MIT GSW is supported by the MIT entrepreneurial ecosystem and over its 22-year history. It has attracted participants from over 70 nations and has been endorsed by world class leaders including former President of the United States, Bill Clinton.

Our paper fuel cell technology, based on enzymatic conversion of glucose and oxygen to produce electricity, has been highlighted as a way to address the worldwide challenges of environmental impact and sustainability.

Specifically, our technology provides a metal-free and non-toxic alternative to conventional miniature batteries found in low-power single-use or disposable electronic devices.
